Excellent attendance makes for a fun night for all
After some recent disappointing numbers, it was great to see lots and lots of people turn up for a busy night of fun. Good to see more ladies as well. Remember that the more ladies who show up, the better the gender ratio, which will make other women more comfortable about showing up to these nights.
The 78 adults in attendance comprised 36 members and 42 visitors. 7 of the 22 ladies were visitors. The 72% Male/Female ratio was a little higher than our regular nights, but was not distractingly obvious thanks to the large turnout. It was good to see a few more members show up, as well as a healthy surge in visitors. It is likely that the upcoming Bowling Night and ConFab's Castlemaine swim day both helped boost awareness. We would like to remind our female members and visitors to attend these events if at all possible. We do have a lot of single males who are not normally able to attend our regular swim nights, and we need to maintain a balance in the genders. Also remember that visting couples and families are welcome at ALL events, not just Open Days. The next Open Day will be on July 31st, as there are five Saturdays in July.
